Analyst Firm 451 Research Highlights ScaleArc’s Unique Functionality
We were excited to launch the 3.2 release of our ScaleArc for Oracle software a couple weeks ago, in conjunction with the Oracle OpenWorld 2014 conference. But it’s one thing to tell your own story – it’s another to have third-party validation of the strength of your story.
ScaleArc was happy to get that industry validation last week, when 451 analyst Matt Aslett penned these findings:
We expect to see growing interest in ScaleArc and its ilk in the coming years as organizations attempt to make their existing database environments more agile. The company has the advantage of offering a differentiated product that can serve a variety of use cases and support a range of databases.
In his analysis, Matt cites a range of ScaleArc advantages:
- first to introduce an ACID-compliant cache, so previously uncacheable data can now be cached
- app availability improvements with support for cross-data center failover
- the value our unique Ternion “secret sauce” technology provides
- the advantages of our cluster-wide analytics
Matt notes the growing interest in database traffic management software as organizations strive to make the database environment more agile.. He also makes clear the advantages of the abstraction layer our software provides – enabling critical availability and performance features such as read/write split, all with no application changes.
Matt’s recognition that ScaleArc stands alone in offering this compelling functionality across MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle is a key differentiation as it allows ScaleArc to support a wider range of enterprise requirements – including the many organizations (a majority in our experience) that have a mixed database environment.
Everyone at ScaleArc is working hard to bring to market the features and functionality that will make apps more available, enable databases to perform better, and give beleaguered IT customers a bit more time in their day. With the enhancements to ScaleArc for Oracle, we are furthering that goal.
