The New Microsoft – A Great Partner
On Wednesday, I was on stage with Judson Althoff, President of Microsoft in the US, for the company’s North America Q3 All Hands meeting. What a fantastic venue and discussion! In front of about 10,000 Microsoft personnel – in person and over the web – we discussed how ScaleArc helps Microsoft’s SQL Server and Azure teams improve uptime and flexibility for applications. Together, we delight our joint customers by enabling zero downtime for apps and simplified cloud migration.
During our conversation, I had the opportunity to highlight the three themes the Microsoft team is most excited about in working with ScaleArc:
1) ScaleArc + SQL Server is as resilient as Oracle RAC, both on prem and in Azure
2) We can make the migration of enterprise applications and workloads into Azure much easier
3) We can simplify upgrades from legacy to modern SQL Server, harnessing the power of AlwaysOn without code changes and shortening the upgrade timeframes
We got an amazing response. Several Microsoft staffers reached out right in the middle of the All Hands, sending us emails asking to help engage at some of their top Fortune 500 accounts. In the couple days since, we’ve had more requests – our joint field activity tripled in 48 hours.
